3000 Miles and Zero Issues
Just had to brag up my 6.0 a little. Just got home from a 3000 mile trip and had absolutely ZERO issues with my truck. 123,600 miles and ran even better than day one when I bought it. Towed my 10K pound travel trailer and the truck just acted like it wasn't there. It seemed very happy to be working instead of daily driving. Just had to share. Would love top hear more stories of great trips with your 6.0.

That's good to hear, I'll be doing a similar trip next year. We plan on a Disney trip.

6 days ago we got home from our week long trip to Disney hauling our 16k# 5er. Total of about 1400ish miles ---- and it ran perfect. Would have loved to be in the 11 or 12 MPG range but....have to realize that I didn't buy her for fuel mileage.
Told my wife that the truck, with the maintenance and such, is "dialed in" and about perfect. Couldn't ask for a better hauling rig. |

Same here but I've learned that the people on this forum that are complaining about their 6.0 shouldn't own a diesel. I know several people with the 6.0 that don't have the problems that I hear on here. Maintenance is the key to a good running truck, diesel or gas.

thats right just got to alabama from az with about 2000 pounds in the back, ran ~ 75 mph average and got 14.4 mpg on average with vivians lonney tune and all stock. thats a 1900 mile trip. I keep my truck serviced right and had my coolant flushed before I left at 80000 miles. truck ran perfect. averages about 10 - 13 on the deltas

Having moved several times across the country with either a car or boat behind the truck, I am also proud that I haven't had any issues with the old girl. Am about to hit 130,000 miles on my '05 and I feel good knowing that I have 'a good one' meaning a 6.0 with none of the major issues that some have run into. I also change the oil every 5K with synthetic, have changed out the coolant, run a mild tow tune, run an Amsoil Oil bypass filter, and have deleted the cat so maybe that has something to do with my good luck.
