6.0L buyer
Hey guys I'm going to ask you all one of the most beat to death questions. I'm looking at buying a 2006 F250 with 120k on the ticket. The guy I talked to said it already has an EGR delete on it. So I asked to him to hook up his computer so I could see the deltas and took it for a drive. The ECT and EOTs were no more than 5 degrees apart at any time. This truck is for sale at a diesel performnce shop in Maryland. I'm currently in a 06 F150 and need more towing power. The truck is fairly clean and love the way it looks but I'm curious to know what all of your opinions are before I put a deposit on it. Thanks in advance!

Two sentances from me: 1.) I LOVE my '05 6.0 that I've owned for the past 7 years and can't imagine owning another truck. (Even a brand new 6.7) 2.) Put a lot more cash away for repairs on a Powerstroke than your 5.4L for when things do eventually go bust with it (as it will with ANY engine.) |

Keep moving, unless you LOVE your truck sooooo much, you'll enjoy dropping lotsa money into it to keep it running right. Just my .02.

Please elaborate. I do love my 150 but it currently has 155000 miles and tows a trailer everyday.

![]() Learn about it and with a monitoring solution BEFORE buying a truck you can check all the weak links and make sure you are buying a truck that is HEALTHY... skip all the advice in the link provided above... and you will be scared like the other guys in this thread
