Has it thrown any codes? Also what are you FICM voltages?

Just checked it at Schucks with their OBD and there are no codes at all. How do I check voltage at the FCM?

The rough running "comes and goes" but it blows black smoke all the time.

Have you checked your CAC boots for cracks/holes. Also check the flex joints on the up-pipe and y-pipe. You can also check for IC damage, and if you have the plastic CAC piping on the cold side.

I need to let it cool off and check my voltage tomorrow; I just gave the guy down the street a jump start and it didnt want to start. I am betting on the FICM.

Weak Batteries can cause issues also. It's best to be sure your batteries are working correctly before testing FICM.

Ok I did the voltage test and i have 48 on the key and 48 running. So I pulled the EGR while I was in the neighborhood and cleaned it. The truck runs alot better but it is still blowing black smoke and a lot of it. Your thoughts please.
