High EOT

I just got my Edge CTS in the mail today and couldn't wait to hook it up and see what was going on with my truck. I have a 03 6.0 with 119k miles that I just bought a few months back. I installed a coolant filter and I am running Mobil 1 5/40 diesel oil with a motorcraft oil filter and cap. Recent coolant flush also with G05.

Here is a pic after 10 min of the CTS hooked up.

This pic is after a 5 min highway run at about 70MPH.

The last pic is when I was almost home, I live 10 min from the highway.

The ECT seems ok, maybe a tad on the high side but couldn't that be caused by high EOT? I am thinking my oil cooler is starting to get clogged.

Any input you guys have would be great. I did a little search and I read that my ECT and EOT should be pretty close.

Your oil cooler is clogged.

Time for a new one, you can do the EGR delete too while you're in there if you can get through inspection w/o it or throw in the BPD EGR cooler if you need to keep it.

My delta is only 5-7* tops even in the 90's with the a/c on.

yep, what they said. Time for a new oil cooler. I know you have probably seen this, but if not, good read: Things to consider about owning a 6.0L

I figured it was clogged but just wanted to check with you guys on here. By the way in my first post I stated I already installed a coolant filter.

Your ECT is nowhere near high, the thermostat isn't even open at 188*.
