Manual Fan Switch

Does anyone know how to add a manual fan switch to a 04 6.0l? I'm running a belt driven air compressor on my service truck and with it running the coolant temp seams to run about 220*.

Are you running using the high-idle? This is why the high-idle is in the factory programming, running accessories such as this. The directions to enable are in the tech folder.

No. The air compressor's controller automatically adjusts the RPM as needed. I will be adding the high idle switch soon for warm ups.

Bismic sent me some info on the 6.0 . Its the best info I've gotten yet. I have a 06 psd and I was able to put a switch that would ground one of the wires to the fan clutch and it will engage the clutch in about a minute. When you turn off switch it takes about the same time to disengage clutch. Im not sure if its the same on your 04. There's 5 wires going to the fan clutch plug. On the engine side of the plug mine has a light blue wire that I ground threw the switch. It has worked well and haven't had any codes yet.
