diesel smell in cabin with AC on/ coolant tank layered

Got out of the truck to go in store and left running. Came out, got in and immediately noticed smell of diesel. My sense of smell isnt that good. Probly why i only noticed it getting back in. Also noticing 2 distinct layers in coolant tank. Im concerrned. This is a new to me truck (yesterday) I already ordered the Edge monitor reccomended but dont have it to check deltas yet. Looking for input. Truck is an 05 6.0

Smell your coolant in the degas bottle. If it smells like diesel, at least one of your heads is cracked.

Actually, it smells alot like paint thinner/mineral spirits

Does it smell like diesel exhaust fumes, or raw diesel fuel?
When my Y pipe cracked, and sitting at idle, the cab smelled badly of diesel exhaust.

More like diesel fuel.
