so i'm trying to compare solution kits.. i already have an egr delete, just trying to get arp's, ford hg's, and cooler rebuild. best options so far:

1) Bulletproof diesel's kit
2) XDP's kit and just sell the egr delete

anyone know any better kits? I see xdp's kit has new exhaust gaskets but the bulletproof doesn't, will i need those? i hate how everywhere i look its a "complete kit" but they're all different

Best advice I have for you, is ignore the marketing hype of a complete kit. Look at the individual components, and get the parts for your build.

A lot of that is covered here:

I've covered part numbers, and options depending on what you want to do.

If you already have a delete kit, I'd get a full set of gaskets from Ford (Intake, EGR valve, Exhaust (depending on weather you are removing the manifolds), Oil Cooler, all the software). I would look at Ford's rebuild kit for the Oil Cooler which will just replace the internals of the cooler for about 1/2 the price. (You won't find that in any kit.)

Anything else you are looking to do while you have it torn down?

I didnt buy a kit either.. I got the headgasket kit from ford that came with most of the stuff needed. I got most of my parts from tousley ford and a few things from some other vender sites. The problem with the kits is they come with BO HG that nobody should use and my egr was deleted already.

Heres the list of things I ordered when doing my HG job.. I did the oil cooler re-build a few months before this so I didnt need a egr delete and oil cooler.

1) 5c3z-6079-g Head kit with 2 OEM headgaskets
2) 3c3z-9439-aa intake gaskets
1) 3c3z-9433-bj intake kit that dont come with gaskets
4)w300013 up pipe bolts
4)w300051 Y pipe nuts

1) ARP studs 250-4202
1) Pair of 6.0 heads ready to bolt on from Odessa Heads

Youll also need 2 dummy plugs that dont come with the head kit.

The cheapest place to get all the Ford parts is going to be Tousley Ford Parts Depot. I wouldn't buy a kit personally. Intake gaskets are reusable.
