Would it pass emissions?
Where i live 1 tons never had to run emissions but they bumped it up to like q
11,000 pounds now or something so I ranger year. What a joke. I have no cat and he still passed me. They hook their computer up to my obd port, start it and run it for like 15 seconds then I'm good to go. My question is if I delete the egr in my 04 and leave the egr valve in and get no codes it would still pass right? I was about to delete it last year ad they changed the rule so I held off. Gonna sell my edge programmer, order a cts, sct, and egr delete in the next couple weeks |

You'll need a custom tune that turns off EGR to keep a code from popping up since it will sense low flow. Some people have issues with codes even with a tune though.

Even though it won't throw a check engine light it will still throw a code?

You can have several DTC (Diagnostic Trouble Code) without even knowing about it.. Thats why its usefull to have a scan gauge or a Edge CT/Cts.. they can read your codes.. For example my truck is throwing a DTC for Crankshaft sensor.. yet it runs perfectly fine.. so I'd never know about it without the CTS.. |

Ok I didn't know that. Well I want to delete it for sure. Hopefully I can get a tune that takes care of it.

So if the code is deleted; what about the tail pipe test?

Well I'm strait piped and they check my exhaust and passed
Me anyways. Our emissions are a joke. They don't even have anything to test diesels with they just want our 10 dollars |

2004 model year trucks wont throw a low flow code for an EGR delete, Just keep it plugged in and your good to go. Mine has no codes
