TEMP GAUGE???

A friend of mine has an 08 with a 6.4, when the temp gauge gets up to normal position it then immediatly pegs out and the truck goes into limp mode. Has anyone seen this before?

With the 6.0 it does with EOT, and I believe also with ECT. You hit a high temp (254* EOT) and she defuels (limp mode).

his guage shows ~ 205 ECT
