How To Get More Than 8 To 7 Quarts

the filter in the pan is just a screen not worth the effort and the gasket is reusable .. if you really want to do the filter or need a gasket for some reason the FRAM
unit is exactly the same part IE OEM

consider going to the 08 ++ pan and real filter then ditch the inline filter

So Just a bit of detail here. I had my trans flushed about 30k ago. I changed out some of the fluid on Monday just because I have been doing a good amount of hauling and towing. I got 7 qts out and didnt really worry about the rest, just wanted to freshen her up. The 7qt and line filter change actually got rid of my shift flair. Not sure how long that will last but either way!

I might do a second fluid swap since you had an issue that was resolved with new fluid

Good tip...I need to do mine. Got it with 146,000 on the clock and no idea what if anything had been done in the past. THat's the only fluid I haven't touched yet.
