27 degree delta while towing

On a two hour trip to the Florida keys recently towing a 5000lb trailer my freshly studded truck exhibited a 27 degree delta. I've also seen a 20 degree delta without a load.

The truck has a new oil cooler and an egr solution. It went through the mother of all coolant flushes prior to the mechanical work. I also run a coolant filter. I asked my mechanic, who is a specialist in the 6.0 what he thought of all this and he said it is no big deal.

I am not in the least worried. If I start barfing out of the degas I'll let y'all know.

5000lb trailer in FL should barely work the truck.

What are the actual temps?

You need to test run for your delta while unloaded. On flat surface.

Mine stuck half open before. Might want to put in a new t-stat if you haven't already. What were the EOT & EOC temps?
