coolant filter system

I have a 05 and i already have an EGR delete on truck, I was wanting to put a coolant filter system on it. Is it still a good idea to have one on there since EGR is deleted? thanks.

The bypass coolant filter will still catch all the other stuff in your engine. Won't hurt it at all

The coolant filter actually does nothing for your EGR cooler. It is there to hopefully postpone the clogging of your stock oil cooler. Even if you have an EGR Delete, the coolant filter is still a very good idea to hopefully keep your oil cooler functioning properly.

I have the Dieselsite coolant filter, but it didn't come with shut off valves which I didn't think you needed until I went to change the filter. I see the sinister comes with shut off valves. If you get one make sure to install valves on each side of filters, cus it will make a mess.

Look into the IPR full flow coolant filter. It is brand new on the market and by far the best coolant filter out there. Light years ahead of the others mentioned above. Look for the thread on it in the 6.0 performance section.

I have the PMM and love the ease of installation and it comes with shutoff valves.
