atlas 40 on stock truck
Anyone running the atlas 40 on a completley stock truck. My truck just had all the coolers and egr replaced, new head gaskets and bolts (dealer did it before I bought it, or it would have been studded) My deltas are within 3 Deg. I am going to have my FICM rebuilt by Ed and and thinking about having the atlas 40 installed right away but don't want to mess up my truck running it.

not to rain on your parade but my dealership had to do HG on my truck too. So I asked and they do it all the time if I bought the studs would they put them in since they were already doing a HG job and they said yes they do it all the time. So needless to say mine is studded.
In other words you should have asked but its to late now. Oh well atleast its all new. And to answer your question I don't even know what the atlas 40 is... So I'm also subscribing to find out. |

Atlas 40
I just had my ficm reprogramed a couple weeks ago. I did the remote programmer from PHP. My truck is a 2005 f250 that is completely stock. With the new programing I've notice the truck seems to run alot smoother fuel mileage has picked up a little and there is a noticeable power difference. It's not a Holy Crap kinda difference put definitely you can tell there's something there. Hope this helps you out.

You'll notice better throttle response and a roughly 40hp increase with the atlas 40 on a stock truck. Also better mpg depending on driving style.
On tuned trucks you'll notice a HP increase, and better throttle response and low end grunt. MPG increase as well. Also FICM tuning is more beneficial than a 58v FICM. 58v FICM's aid in cold starts and can provide a bit more throttle response though |
