Summertime Numbers?
Well it's heating up here in South West Louisiana and I'm towing a lot with hay season upon us, so I'm curious if my CTS numbers are in line with y'all's.
Empty ECT- 198-205 EOT- 200-208 TFT- 160ish Towing ECT- 205-220 (Never stays at 220 long. EOT-207-226 (Towing Heavy) TFT-165-180ish (Usually hangs out around 175) My EOT is usually 6-8 degrees warmer than my coolant. I had oil cooler, studs, gaskets etc done about 11,000 miles ago. Like I said, just wondering what other folks' temps are running. Y'all take care! |

Looks good to me. That is pretty close to the range that mine runs in.

As its been warming up here my numbers have gone up a bit. Coming home from work yesterday I saw low 200s on the ECT and EOT. My numbers are well within spec being 6-8 degrees apart. Everything seems to be working well since I had all my work done a couple months ago. I'd say your numbers are fine for the warmer weather. I don't have any towing numbers for mine though.

Sounds like my numbers when I tow our 5th wheel.

Looks OK to me. I towed about 11,000 pounds Memorial day weekend in heavy traffic and it was hot. My EOT was 202-215 and the ECT was 198-208.

Your numbers look good when towing. I haul a 16k# 5er and will see the 200-220 ranges but my ECTs and EOTs still stay within 12 degrees only spreading wider for short durations like during long grades, hard accelerations, etc.

I tell you my eyes stay glued to the monitor when I tow anything long distance. I should be less concerned but I dont have a ton done to mine - IDP tow tune and a coolant filtration kit, and 4" exhaust.

I'm seeing a max of 228 ECT for short bursts 220 sustained, and 235 EOT steady towing about 10k but its 14ft high on the trailer 03 f350 drw bone stock
