White smoke from exhaust
Did a bit of research in this forum but can't quite find the issue I'm having so before looking at 1000 posts I figure I ask. I have an 07 F250 with 65K miles and it has been loosing coolant through the degas container for a while but never over heats and I simply replace coolant once in a while. Power seems fine but yesterday for the first time I saw white smoke coming out of the exhaust when I first started and it seem to go away after it warmed up some? I read in this forum in the past about head gaskets, EGR, turbo or injectors going bad. Any ideas on what to check for? A friend of mine had simliar issue and ended up spending $5K replacing gaskets and better bolts. Not looking forward to that if that's the case so I want to check other things before spending that kind of money.
Any help would be apreciated.
Thanks,
Ed
