The Ford Gold is fine at a 50k drain/flush interval. If your EOT/ECT delta is fine, just flush w/ distilled water.

I personally don't believe 50k or even 30k for that matter. If it was flushed at the dealership it wasn't done with distilled water. Tap water, well water, etc. will wreak havoc on these cooling systems.

IF flushed with distilled I would be ok at 2 yrs or 30k. I don't give a hoot what FORD says.

If you dont have an EGR cooler and your deltas are fine, I wouldnt switch to the ELC, I would just flush out your gold every 20k. Oh and have a filter.

I switched to ELC risking clogging because I didnt want to flush every 6 months. I have enough to maintain with the old cars.

I never had an issue after my ELC swtich 30k ago btw
