PGreenSVT has a nice writeup in the tech section. Personally I would pull the starter and add Fumoto valves to both block drains, stick about 2' 3/8" hose onto the nipples after the starter is back on.

I wouldn't put the new oil cooler in until after the flush is complete, and you're sure the coolant system is cleaned out thoroughly.

I agree. Flush it really well and do a complete chemical flush.

Im in the same boat!! My deltas are high and I know I need a new oil cooler.. I purchased a ford ext warranty with my truck so its covered.. I want to do the full flush before I take it in but dont want to waste the elc coolant. Can I put ford gold back in it before I take it in then when I get it back replace it with Rotella?

Just did my second round of water only flushes. My delta was not as bad as you guys but it helped and I am getting tons of casting sand out still.
