Is this truck a good buy

2006 Ford F350 - Wayne Hodges Autos Weatherford, TX

It's and 2006 F-350 6.0l with 257,XXX on the clock. I'm considering trading my landcrusier for it. What should I worry about with it and what should I look for upon test drive? Thanks

Brother, you need to have some sort of gauge or a reputable diesel shop to look at the truck. I used a bulletproof diesel guy off the internet which was very thorough and would use if the need ever came about for the full bulletproofing endeavour. You need someone who can look at the deltas, oasis report from ford or full member here!!!, which i used, etc. There is info out there, you just have to look for it to be informed!!!

That is way too expensive. I paid 17,500 for my 07 with 106 on it back in August.

Alot of miles for the price I think, I got a 04 king cc ranch 4x4 with 168k for 13k. It ended up having a clogged oil cooler, and #4 injector took a dump after two weeks. These things are cheap, and a dime a dozen, if you dont mind working on them.

So besides the price any other remarks. My truck is worth about 12 and I'm not going to pay any for it just plan on trying to trade.

Try and find lower miles. You can get one closer to 200k for what you're wanting out of yours.

For that price they need to give you a 50,000 mile $100.00 deductible warranty on the truck.
Engine, transmission and rear end bumper to bumper. Like the others said keep looking.

I've bought two trucks from them. You can tell they try to play dumb about their trucks. Both trucks I got were great runners, just don't expect them to disclose any of the obvious issues. I paid 15000 for my 06 with 170000 miles. The engine bay was immaculate! And not because it was cleaned, it was never dirty. But the bed had been replaced and they had put a plastic liner in, which covered the b&w turnover ball.
