Rotella T6 5W40...Your thoughts?

I want to start running Shell Rotella T6 5W-40 synthetic engine oil in my truck. It has stiction issues on cold starts. Is it okay to run 5W-40 year round in a 6.0? Anyone seen improvement using Rotella T6 with sticition? If the stiction remains, then I'll order some Rev-X

i switched from motorcraft 15/40 to t6. I honestly couldnt tell a hill of beans difference. Im about due for an oil change. I will probably go back to the 15/40 for the summer and then switch back to the t6 in the winter. I put very few miles on my truck so I only change my oil once in the spring and once in the fall.

Whatever oil you decide to run, get the Rev-X. Stiction will then go away.

I don't know how many threads there are with this info but you can hardly turn around without bumping into one.

Stiction is caused by the varnish buildup from the aromatics in standard dino oil, plain and simple. Want to avoid it? Use a good synthetic motor oil and the preferred weight is 5w40. If you already have stiction add 2 bottles of Rev-X to the oil. If that doesn't cure it you have already ruined the injectors and you will have to replace the bad ones.

You think T6 is expensive at $21.xx a gallon wait till you get the bill for replacing your injectors.

I run this and bottle of RevX and have no issues whatsoever, truck runs great and quieter than with Dino particularly the valve noise is gone.
