Bullet proof egr cooler

I may Possibly have a leaky egr cooler, mechanic wants 1600 dollars labor plus I supply part. He says its not something I want to do on my own. Anyone here ever replaced their own? On prob gonna try myself. Lookin for pointers.

yup I did it. not bad at all even did the oil cooler while I was in there. I also used a bullet proof diesel cooler. just take your time and have fun. look up srmastertech videos on youtube as they'll help.

you can probably do it yourself, i did a BPD oil cooler and egr cooler in 17 hrs. i had it all finished in about 12hrs, but had to go back in and fix exhaust leak on egr and turbo. I hate exhaust clamps ! Best tool i bought for this project was the Bullet Proof Diesel truck step !

Ask yourself are you mechanically inclined? Just take your time and be really clean and everything will go smoothly.

Well, I'm an a/c mechanic/service tech, and always do my own repairs on everything. Just this diesel that's intimidating

If you have a few days that you can do without the truck I say DO IT!! ORRR I can do it for $1000!!

Seriously, take your time and it'll be no problem and you'll save some cash.
