Head gaskets or oil cooler puking
04 F350 4x4 extened cab goes past 16psi on cooling system, only when coolant is warm. When cold nothing, holds pressure after warm come back two hours later still at 5psi. When starting warm & cold no spike in psi.
My question can oil cooler be causing this, no I don't have a scanner that reads temps. looking into that. Can oil cooler super heat coolant enough to cause puking. Want to tow camper, but need to take care of this first. Have EGR delet, will do coolant flush & oil cooler at same time, just don't want to do all that & then have to do heads. Truck owes me nothing for what I paid for it & snowplowing work it has done for me. Love this truck. Last edited by letitsno; 05-11-2012 at 07:27 AM. |

Ok looking at programers/monitors, like H&S, but says no trans tuning
for 6.0L. Is that true, how big of a concern. When getting programs can they write programs for trans. Going to call H&S also. Tried finiding #, guess they only want you to deal with dealers. Best place to buy H&S Black Maxx or Mini Maxx. Last edited by letitsno; 05-11-2012 at 09:34 AM. |

If you already have done an egr delete, save your money and do HG's and ARP studs.
If you haven't replaced the EGR do that and hope your PSI comes back down, if they don't it's HG time with OEM gaskets. D |
