First diesel

Hello I'm new to this forum and just bought myself a 2004 6.0 so far it is basically stock but has had a egr delete and coolant filter added. I plan to keep it stock but will be doing a blue spring upgrade right away.

My question is should I be getting some gauges installed right away. I have been looking at the edge insight cts but am not sure if this is something that is really needed on a stock setup vs tuned.

Any other tips for a stock setup would be greatly appreciated, thanks

The CTS is nice, but there is another option as well. The ScangaugeII does the same stuff for the most part without the bells and whistles. The main thing you should keep an eye on is your EOT (oil temp) and ECT (coolant temp) delta. Consider that number as the vitals of the oil cooler

A monitoring solution is a must. You need to check to see if everything is within perimeters. I love my CTS you should look into that. Welcome to the Org.
