Glow Plug Boot puller
I'm going to make a tool to remove the boots on the Glow Plugs and I'm needing the measurement of the gap that fits the boot. If anyone has one and could measure it for me I would appreciate it. I think I can make one for less than $5

Awesome, I just can't believe the price of it for a piece of metal.

The worst part is that I've never really had much success with it. Other than break 2 of them. If you are pulling heads or have the injectors out I push the boots out from the inside with a roll-head pry bar such as this one:

Thanks in advance. I got a DTC P0672 yesturday and cleared it just to have it come back. I changed all the Glow Plugs a year ago. Today I pushed in the #2 plug and I haven't got the code back yet. Just thinking ahead and I mite have to change the harness soon.

I had the tool come with the wellman glow plugs and it seemed to work well. I have seen people use the small pin bar like pictured above, i figured they came with the tool might as well use it.

I've seen more controllers die than glow plugs or harnesses. Just a little fyi of what I've seen.
