6.0 ECM differences
What are the differences between the different models? I think mine is going south and was looking to replace. more specifically I have found a Harley ecm and was wondering what was different from a Lariat ecm.
my truck is an early04 lariat 4x4 harley ecm is 04 and 4x4 |

It will need to be programmed for your VIN. Tire size will be changed as well. There is a base PCM code on the sticker something like DDU-462 (????) that needs to be the same. FYI an auto tranny truck will be a totally different PCM than a stick shift truck.

The harley and lariat ecms should interchange fine for that year. Tire size will need to be changed in it like heavy assault said though

It will still need the VIN programmed correct??

It will run. But it will show a vin mismatch code

thanks for the info, the tire size should not be a problem to change. my other question is about the mileage is that stored in the ecm or in the dash? and i take it only the dealer can change vin and mileage?

The mileage is in the dash so you're good there. Only the dealer can change the VIN
