The Good with the Bad
Well, I finally got my truck back from storage after a year. I drove it around and everything seemed to check out, and I even used it for hauling off some cars for friends in the first week. I had a feeling that before I put it in storage, the cooler was gone. One of my good friends is a tech at Ford and had one of the ford diesel mechs over at his house for some beers. He took a look at my truck for me. Overall the truck is in good shape he said. At 80,000 miles (current Mileage), I have never had an oil cooler, EGR cooler or turbo go out. I went ahead and bought the Bulletproof Diesel EGR cooler and got the Ford OEM oiler cooler, all the gaskets needed, and updated turbo drain tube at Ford employee pricing. All in all, I am pretty excited to get all that stuff and go through the truck with the diesel tech and know where I stand. Also got my windows tinted and my tow mirrors put on!!! Sorry for the novel but man it feels good to be back and wrench on my truck!!!

thanks for your support!! By the way I gotta tell you guys BPD has the best customer service. I was supposed to recieve my EGR cooler today, But one of the fed ex trucks rolled over, and my package was in there and got ruined. BPD gave me a call about it this morning, refunded my shipping and threw in a free shirt. When I first ordered, they gave me a call confirming what I wanted/needed. Awesome awesome company!!!!

Great to hear about their stepping up to make thing more than right! Many companies could take a lesson from them.......

thats the same thing I said, really it's not their fault, but they are the ones making it right. So I gotta be happy about that. And who doesn't like free shirts??

started my coolant flush this week, in preparation to do the egr and oil cooler, turbo clean, updated drain tube, stc fitting swap, and a bunch of other stuff. I am so busy at work that I really only got it drained yesterday, but today I was able to get the first distilled flush outta the way, then went on to distilled and VC-9, then I have done two more distilled. I am just going to keep doing distilled until it comes out clean.

the truck has been back together for a month or so now, and it is running great. No more overboost codes, and no more puking from the degas bottle. It took me and a buddy about 6-8 hours total to get all the work done (not including the 15 flushes I did lol)
