Back up sensors

Since I have had my truck the sensors have never worked correctly. Sometimes when shifting, and passing reverse, it will beep. Sometimes it might beep once. Oddly enough, I back over a mailbox one day, and they started working after that. They only worked for a couple of days. I think it is probably a short, but I haven't found anything. Has anyone else had problems with these?

Those sensors are easily damaged from all the crap that collects in behind the bumper. Read on a forum that if you just put it in reverse gear without the engine running but with the key in the Run position you can hear which one is not making any noise if put your ear real close. I've never tried it though. The sensors are around $70 each I think

SCT, no studs...yet, Dual OEM intake air filter housings, Banks intercooler & intake elbow, Banks exhaust system, Windrunner ported intake manifold, Bullet Proof Diesel remote oil cooler & thermostat, AirDog2 (plus a couple spares), Power steering filter (Amsoil dual-bypass), MagTec deep ATF pan, Electric oil pre-lub pump, Dakota Digital gauges.
