exhaust solution

OK I have an 05 6.0 with the mods in my sig. I had the local muffler shop take out the cat and muffler and straight pipe it. Here's my problem, when I get on it it's really loud with the v8 gasser redneck pop. I like the straight pipe for its benefits to the motor but I'm not in high school anymore so I don't need the loudest truck on the drag. I am wanting some suggestions on what I can have the muffler shop put inline that's still flows good but takes some of the "pop" out of it and quietens it down a bit. Still want the benefits of a good flowing exhaust though. I know it sounds like I want my cake and eat it too, but y'all always have some good suggestions. I really don't want to put a whole exhaust system on just thinking alone the lines of a flowmaster or something like that. The muffler shop suggested an 18" glass pack but this doesn't sound like it'll do the trick to me. Thanks guys.

Get a muffler from MBRP, AFE, Magnaflow or similar.

it won't be as quiet at stock, but it should quiet it down a bit and they are "flowthrough" muffler designs. So they shouldn't really affect exhaust flow.

I agree.. only problem is they are meant for a 4" exhaust.. i didnt see an exhaust kit in his sig...

in order to make it work your going to need some flared pieces to bolt up to his stock exhaust

Yes I believe stock is 3.5" and muffler shop just cut before cat and behind muffler and welded in straight pipe.
