'08 tailgate

How much should I pay for an '08 tailgate? Its the same color as my truck. (white) No steps, handle, or camera, just a plain jane tailgate. Good shape on the outside, not sure about the inside. Thanks in advance. Dustin

not wanting to hijack your thread. I am going to look at a 2008 tailgate today, seller wants 200 dollars. What will i have to do to make the tailgate work on my 2007? I have heard just changing the drivers side hinge, is that all ?

You don't even have to change the hinge if you remove the torsion rod in the newer gate. However, it is heavier. Not sure how much on an plain jane. I know the step version is quite a bit heavier and the torsion rod certainly helps my wife and daughter close the gate.

I removed the rod from mine insted of geting the hinge and its still way liter and eased to shut than my factory gate
