High Mile 6.0 Questions
Tonight I'm going to look at a higher mile 6.0 for sale for my buddy. Be his first diesel. It just rolled 300k. 05 CCLB lariat. Great looking truck, super clean, Not a scratch on it and the interior is perfect. What should I watch out for on a truck with 300k. I'll take my insight out of my truck of course to look for codes ect.... I'll have them pull the carfax. I'll check to see if it has studs, egr delete ect... It looks bone stock from the outside.

Check the deltas, look under neath with a flashlight, check the bellhousing area, rear oil pan, bed plate and u can see the rear heads from under neath. Mine use to leak a lot in those areas, fix under warranty.

That was my plan. Look for the usual 6.0 stuff.

Also look at the pedals. If the rubber is worn out severely then it was a stop n go truck. Be nice if 75% of those miles were highway.

Oasis report as well. Check for the normal hg issues, you know the routine

heres a link to the truck. im 99% positive it does not have a 5th wheel plate. and it does not look like the receiver has ever been used. but

42,000 miles a year it has to be a lot of highway from the people I know the ones that have more miles per year always seem to run better. Hell if you could get it for 8 that be a deal

Looks like the tailgate paint doesn't match either, but that's way too much, my father in law just bought an 05 ccsb with 130k fx4 lariat, extremely clean and nice for 14,500
