MAF sensor question

I have an 05 F-250, It has no maf sensor but the plug is there with a cap on it. Can I add a maf? does it need to have one?

Interesting......I cant recall ever seeing a cap before. Seems as you could add one but PCM tuning could be an issue.

you don't need a maf, it's main purpose is to detect EGR flow. It's completely hit or miss which 05s have one. I just worked on an early that had a maf
