SuperChips tuner

A friend of mine has a Superchips tuner that he used on an 05 6.0L. We tried to use it on my 07 since he doesn't have his 05 anymore and it gave a code that needs changed to work with my programming. I called Superchips to see if they would reprogram it and they said they don't program that model anymore and they would give me a $100 credit towards a new tuner. My friend thought it was supposed to have lifetime tunning avaliable, so is there any places to send this besides Superchips to have it reprogrammed to work with the 07?

He didn't say anything about a VIN lock. When he got it he had to run the tune, it came back with a code, he sent that code information and the tuner to Superchips and they sent it back and he was able to load the tune. Did the same thing with my truck got the code but they said they don't program that model anymore. I'm sure it's one of those deals that they probably still can they just don't because they want to sell a new tuner, if I knew someone there I could probably still get it tuned from them. (just my personal thought). But superchips never said anything about a VIN lock either.
