Gearhead to Innovative tunes
Been running matt's tunes the past year. They work awesome and would recommend him to anyone. I've used the 8k tow all winter plowing. I love the smooth power delivery of the SRL too, it's my daily driving tune. The only thing I'm not crazy about is how hard it shifts downshifting to go up a big hill. Normally I just hit the tow/haul. I know there are a lot of opinions out there of which one is better but has anyone actually ran both of them? I'm thinking about trying one of eric's for a daily driver to see how I like it.

I'm trying to get Matt to raise the mph when the converter locks. It must be set at 40mph and IMO should be a 50mph. this is the reason I don't run the SRL right now. I hate bogging around at 45 mph and when I want it to downshift it hard as hell to get it out of lockup.

i love the power delivery of my SRL, however innovatives regular street tune is a good well rounded dd and towable tune

mine locks in at 50 to 55 which in my opinion is pretty fair speed to lock in it takes a little to get used to but its how he gets it to get the mpgs, if you look at rpms on my truck cruising at 50 to 55 im running about 1250 to 1350 and bout 3-4 psi i think its a great feature but thats my
on the issue, might try truck source diesels super panty dropper, i think you can get it with early or late lock up

I run the slr I did tweak some of the user adjustable parameters to dial it in
I had ID tunes and Matt's are more My thing |

I like Matt's tunes over IDP tunes primarily because it shifted right on the first load. With IDP I had to go back and forth via email, three tunes later it shifted decent. What I did not like was that with the reprogrammed converter lock, it stayed locked above that speed unless you hammered on it. This made for a hard kick when the cruise was disengaged. My SRL tune locks at 45 mph and light pedal pressure, just like it did before I tuned it.

Ive run Matts SRL for almost 2 years now. I also found that my truck was hard to get out of lockup with the SRL tune and the truck jerked pretty good when I shut the cruise off. I lived with this forever until I started to do alot of highway driving and used the cruise all the time and cringed everytime I had to shut the cruise off and I felt the truck jerk so I emailed Matt asking if it was something he could fix. He asked how long ago I got my tune and ended up sending me the newest version of the tune because he said he has fixed the issues I was complaing about. Now my cruise shuts off just as smooth as factory tuning and I no longer have a issue getting the TQ to unlock. So id suggest you guys with these problems contact Matt and ask for the latest tune.

Ive been running ID's street tune for a little over a year. Like mustang said i feel its a well rounded tune. My only complaint like the other guys said is the jerk when turning off the cruise, i find myself speeding up then turning off the cruise. In the future i would like to try matts srl or id's xtreme street/race tune.
