ficm

let me ask you guys a question my cts has been droppin g down the ficm to 38 to 41 for the first 30 seconds of driving when i turn the key on and watch it its at 46 to 47.5 crank it to start still in the 46- 47 range then when it starts it drops to 38 then after 30 seconds or so it moves up to 48 to 49 is it nornmal only does this while its cold if the engine is warmed up 46- 48 now i only had my cts for a couple of months but ive noticed it been doing it all the time is it normal or what do i have wrong and thanks again guys

That's a sign the Ficm is on its way out my friend, mine is doing the same, so I have a 58v unit from quick tricks on the way

so if im reading the others the votage should never drop below say 46 right because when i turn the key on its 46 or so n as soon as it starts it starts dropping n the batterys are good the battery votage when i start it up is usally 12.3

As long as your voltage is good then yea the Ficm is getting weak, mine does the same thing and it's been gettin worse over the paste couple months, so I just want to change it before it leaves me stranded somewhere and not damage injectors or anything

Mine did run for while at voltage in the 30's. I had no choice had to get home on a 2k miles trip towing the RV. It failed to start at lower then 30 volts.
The unit will only get worst and effect your injector coils. Taking a big chance of doing damage.

Ficm repair or quicktricks with a lifetime warranty for $400, there are several places that do good work
