HID Balast locations???

Hey guys, I just want to get some ideas on where you mounted your balasts with the HID kits. Some pics would be very helpful too. Especially for the fogs, and how you ran the wires. Thanks in advanced

You can look at this thread for the fogs, as for your hi/low I just stuck mine wherever I could find with some HD velcro and high heat glue.

For the fogs I just zip tied them to the fog light bracket. For the headlights I zip tied them to where I have all my strobe and snow plow wiring at behind the headlights. I don't have my 6.0 any more but if ya want I can try and get a pic of my 6.4 ballasts. I just did basically the same thing, find some wires or a flat surface and loop some zip ties through. If the ballasts came with double sided tape, still zip tie them because the tape lasts about a month.

I just zip tied them in the space between each battery on either side, its a good little safe spot i guess

The first two pics are the mounting of the ballast. It is under the plastic piece between the radiator and grill. It is the same on the other side. There are also good grounds in there. Just make sure to sand the paint off and use some electrical grease on the connection.

The last pic is the relay location.

For my KC HIDs I pulled the grill. There's an area on either side of the header panel that the ballasts mounted onto perfectly.

Mine are a little funny looking. They are directly above the headlight where the adjustable rubber stopper for the hood is. Slim ballasts fit just right. Probably not the best spot cause they could get a little wet. They say they're waterproof but, you know...

Thanks guys for all the input! Anymore ideas keep them coming! I currently have them double sided taped to the top of each battery, the cables don't seem that long, for the head lights. For the fogs I also zip tied the ballasts to the back of the fog brackets, I wasn't to much of a fan of this, that is why I am looking for other ideas.

Mine are currently the DDM raptor ballasts, but if I were to do it again, I would suggest anyone to get the slim ballasts!
