New (to me) Truck Possibility
I've already had a small side-discussion about engine inspection on this truck, but I'm looking for some overall impressions from those of you that have had these trucks for a while. How much do think something like this might be worth? Other thoughts/worries/concerns?

I've heard the same about the filter kit. Didn't know about the batteries. Is here a recommendation for brand/type on those?

Don't know why those batteries would cause you any problems. Weaker batteries will though. Sounds like a good find. Flush the cooling system and get fresh coolant in it, preferably a CAT EC-1 rated ELC and then put a good monitoring solution on it like the Edge Insight CS or CTS.

SVT,
Coolant and monitoring are definitely at the top of the list if I end up getting this truck. It's sounding better and better all the time, but then I can convince myself of almost anything. The only issue I have is all the problems I've had with the 6.0L if my wife's '04 X. Just dropped the #7 injector yesterday (that's 5 injectors since last September). The FICM's fine ... guess fuel pressure is the next culprit. That's another thread, though. |

Dun got it. Thanks for help and advice. I now have two vehicles with 6.0L engines in 'em and they seem to be running great. I'm sure I'll be here for quite some time.
