Last Towing Trip With Tunes?

Today will be the day that makes me decide to turn my pickup back to stock or invest in some different tunes.

I need to haul my work pickup (about 10,000*), 75 miles to get some work done to it, I loaded the tow tune and am going to hope for the best.

I posted a short video a while back

That is with the tow tune, I want to say that these are Erics tunes, I could be wrong though, it is who ever does the tuning for FCDP.

If I cant pull this pickup without EGT's skyrocketting then they can leave and I will just tune it back to stock.

That's on a tow tune The tow tune shouldn't spike the egt's like that

Yeah thats a tow tune. Those EGT numbers are more than acceptable for the amount of throttle hes using.

Tow tunes will hit 1300 with a load at WOT anytime

True that was at WOT. Pre-turbo those EGT's aren't that bad anyways.

I towed 8k yesterday afternoon with a tow tune, and even hit a 7% grade for a while. EGTs were fine, but I didn't go wot either. Going wot, I would hit 1200 too.

If you are still concerned, get a tow tune that is transmission only.

I could be wrong but most tow tunes are set for a maximum of 8k. I would go back to stock.

This is the pickup that I hauled.

I am pleased to say that there was only two times on big hills that it hit 1250.

I think that I can live with that!!!

If the tow tunes are only good for 8K, then why even have a tune at all?
My camper alone is more than that, WAY more than that, then I hook a 17' trailer on behind that, if the tune cant handle it, I will tune it back to stock and sell the thing.
