restore & restore+

Hey guys i am gonna flush and swap to elc and i was wondering if anyone on here could tell me where to get restore and restore+ local to the everett wa area? Also do i need to to the restore+ step? The truck had an oil cooler done about 15,000 ago previous to my ownership and my deltas are about 5-6 degrees. It has green coolant in it and i have been told there is green elc but i dont trust that and want to get it outta there before summer rolls around.

I would just flush with water REALLY good and fill up with ELC...

I had the SAME boat as you a while ago... Use those additives and they cleaned everything very well...SO well that I had to replace my oil cooler the next week LOL

IIRC there are quite a bit of guys in WA running green coolant (can't remember where I read it)

Thats what im afraid of...i dont really want to do a cooler right now. I wish there was a way of telling exactly what coolant is in there...it is green but not super bright like its fresh out of the bottle, i hope its not just mixed into ford gold.

Take a picture and post it.

I will get flamed for this but........

If you have good deltas (which you do) then i think you should drive until you see the deltas get worse... then do a flush and change your oil cooler at that time.

Right now you should focus on an EGR delete or replacement

Just incase you don't catch your oil cooler get clogged in time so it wouldn't be able to rupture your egr cooler (cuz you wont have one)

I'm in the same boat as well. Great deltas and green coolant. I've talked to a few mechanics whose opinions I trust and they just said to use like a Prestone flush and flush real real good with water and should be good to switch to ELC. So that's what I plan on doing
