exhaust

I know this is a stupid post but i want to know what you guys think? I have 5in turbo back and iam thinking about cutting it right where it goes over the axle and make and adapter and running 7in bare metal exhaust out. Do you think this will look stupid or you think it would like alright? I will obviously make it to where you can not see the transition

I dont really care either way im fine with... My only concern is that once i cut it up i cant go back! So i just wanted to get some other people opinions just to see if anyone else would do it? I had it all sitting in my garage and it looked and sounded like a good idea and i almost started in on it but then i stopped myself.

I saw something similar on a used car lot back when I was looking for my '06 and it just looked ridiculous. I like the looks of the 4" and the 5", but after that it just starts to look "too big".

Of course all of this is my opinion and if you like the looks of that go for it. When you can almost put your head inside your exhaust pipe, seems overkill though

yea i think your right. Its one thing if it is a stack but side exit would be a little over kill. I refuse to put a stack in my truck though! Alot of my buddies have them though its actually getting to the point around my town that if you have side exit you have something different

What about a side exit with dual 4" tips? That'd be pretty different and I think look pretty cool.

Why can't go back? If one can cut off existing and fab new replacement, then why not be able to just re-assemble/weld the first one back up?

When installing a Cody Turn-over Ball hitch in my '05 PSD duall, had to cut the exhaust in three pieces for clearance, and tail pipe exit angle. Also mod the exhaust system hangers to fit the new height diff's. Hey, it's only fabbing, Si?

I think it would look better than doing a 5 in exhaust to a 7 inch tip. there are plenty of guys that have 7 in tips, and they don't look too bad at all. It depends on how it exits and if you get up real close to the body. JMO
