No crank

Sorry about the double post. Mods close the one in the 911 section. Nobody seems to look at that.

Ok this may be a fluke, but the truck ran fine just had an egr code. Has a delete and head studs. Go to load the sct off my other truck, the sct was unlocked. loaded a loony tune. tune loads. Then the truck doesn't crank. Loaded the file back to stock. Went smooth. But still no crank. So now I'm thinking coincidence.

The truck has new batteries. I just bought it with an egr delete and studs in it. The truck has a new starter and a hpop. It sounded like a helicoptor and needed a rocker arm and push rod. put those in and it ran like a top.

I tried jumping the solenoid with the yellow and blue wire. she turns over. But with the key on It still says no way. When its being jumped it turns over smoothly. Checked the relay fuse. It was ok. What else shoud I look into?

Thanks guys for the help.

What years are the two trucks? What are the strategies for each truck?

Tunes written for the '03-'04 trucks will not work on the 05-07 trucks, and vice versa. Even then, some of the earlier 03-04 strategies won't work on the newer '03-04 trucks.

The sct was originally written for a 2006 king ranch. This truck is a 2006 lariat.

Whats strange is that it worked on my 2004 xl work truck.

But would this create a no crank issue? I know its not the starter When I jumped it, it cranked like no other. Batteries are ok. So are the connectors.

Read the first post in this link, it's from SCT.

Ok, I get that. But at that point would the truck not crank over? I didn't realize the pcm controlled that. Also can I steal the pcm from my late 04 to get the truck to ford? Also the device isn't saying it's locked. It seemed like it put the stock tuning back on like it want a problem.

Yup you were right. Pcm was wiped out. At ford now for a reflash. Oops. Thats what I get for trying to be cheap.
