Coolant filter instal question

Got my dfuser coolant filter in the mail yesterday. Can't wait until I get the time to install it! I have a couple of quick questions:

Instead if having to deal with a huge mess when I cut the lines, can I just drain a bit of coolant out of the radiator before I start? If so, how much should I drain?

Second, if I can in fact drain some of the coolant, do I replace with straight coolant or should I add an equal mix of coolant and water?

Thanks!

If you use a clean container, you can just put it back in.

Yep about two gallons is all you need to drain

Keep in mind when you cut the 3/4" hose to splice in between the engine block and the valve... Not the valve and the firewall

Alot of guys installed them wrong and have to go back and fix it now due to crappy manufacturer directions

Including myself
