You have to pull the intake tube off of the intake horn and then take the 4 bolts out to remove the intake horn. Once you remove it there should be two screws holding the plate in, remove those and reinstall everything. The intake horn gasket is reusable.

Do some searching on Google and here on the org and you should find lots of links and walk throughs

You can either take the EGR throttle out competely, but than you will have to get 2005-2007 intake horn or you will have trouble fitting the hose for intake back up.You could also do what I did which was remove the throttle plate in the EGR throttle body and put it al back together again.Of course I went a step further and ported the hell out of both the horn and throttle body and put it back on.So when you look at my engine all you see is stock.

Some have it with the plate and some are just a dummy for the harness to plug in.
Unplug one of the connectors on it and see if there's any pins in it.
If not, It's a dummy and doesn't have a plate in it.

Yeah I checked mine a couple weeks ago and there was nothing there.

This may help clear somethings up. Plus there is a write up on removing the valve.
