Where should I mount her?
Now that I have your attention.
![]() I just got the text that my Edge Insight CTS with EGT probe and fuel pressure setup was delivered to my house today! Bad part, I don't get off shift till tomorrow. I have been reading tons of posts about where to put the sending unit and there seems to be 2 common places, the test port and on top of the fuel filter with a billet top. Is there an issue with placing it on top of the fuel filter with the billet top? It seems like that may be the easier place to install and also maybe a little less heat and vibration there then down on the test port. Will the reading still be as accurate as on the test port? Plus it gives me a good reason to buy those awesome looking billet tops, and i would have to get the matching oil filter one also. Opinions Please and thanks in advance.

I wouldn't do the billet top, I would get the adapter necessary to install it at the test port. That way you don't need to worry about it when changing fuel filters.
The billet tops, you need to be careful on their quality so they hold the filter down correctly, and I'm also not a fan of unnecessary bling. |

With all the issues that everyone is having using filters or caps that are not OEM, I would definitely install the pressure sensor in the test port. JMO

Personally I like the caps becasue they will match my sinister coolant filter.
The caps from NUC Motorsports were measured by a couple of guys on here a while ago with a micrometer and found to be the same size as the OEM filter, just FYI. Do either of you guys currently use a fuel pressure gauge? Thanks for the reply, keep them comming |

I have also heard, but do not know from experience, that some guys have hade bouncing needles on their Feul prssure gauges when using the sending unit in the cap
![]() I do have a fuel pressure gauge, but mine is installed in the sending unit port on my Aeromotive pressure regulator. I have a regulated Return so my system is totally different, and I am just regurgitaing information I have absorbed. |
