So after several weeks of lurking around the org. I see there are a lot of tinkerer's, hobbyist or shady tree mechanics that frequent the forum.
So my question is whats the cheapest(or free) most effective mod on your 6.0?
Since im new to the diesel world im interested in what some with more experience have done to their truck. Interior, exterior, motor, trans etc... Lets here em

cut a hole (or bunches of holes) where the stock intake grabs air from. Just to the right of the radiator. Then I put prefilter material to keep water and dust out but allow air thru (snowmobile air prefilter).

Cost is around 25 for the prefilter material or if you have some laying around its free or you don't have to install any prefilter and its FREE

IMO take the EGR cooler off and weld the on both ends and stick back on.Also get some rubber tubing disconnect the CCV off the intake hose and run it down by engine,then plug the hole for the CCV in the intake hose.
