Any turbo mod for a VGT?

I have an 04 6.0 and i was wondering if there was anything I could to do beef the turbo up a little without buying a whole new turbo? Any replacement turbo wheel of some sort? Thanks!

i thought i read something about a "Batmowheel". i know nothing about it, so hopefully you can look it up or someone else can give some input.

Check out the 'turbo experimenting poll' thread in the performance section....A member is doing some pretty cool stuff with VGT turbos for the 6.0L.

Since you have an 2004 the Batomo requires a new front cover as well. Costing a bit more the PowerMax would be a better option.

I could be wrong but the batmowheel may fit depending on when the OP's truck was built 04 vs 04.5 it may still have the 03 turbo in it.

It is just lighter and more efficieant than the cast wheel. It will generally give you better spool up, and can move more air at slower speeds, so more torque, around 100 ft-lbs more. Horsepower gains will be minimal at best.

If you are just looking for reliability, the pmax may be the most reliable VGT turbo out there, the unison ring is revised, so it is less likely to get sticky and cause issues.

I also think that the earlier turbos, 03-early 04, are more reliable but that is just my opinion based on observation. I have no hard facts to back that statement up.
