![]() ![]() I wanted to share some pictures and feedback on Bullet Proof Diesel's new FICM. I will share the pictures first... Rebuilt stock FICM ![]() BPD FICM ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Now for my feedback so far... I personally think the new FICM is great, the craftsmanship on the unit is amazing!! My truck REALLY LIKES the new FICM!! I was previously running a rebuilt one from another company that I have had for about 2 years now. Last summer my truck started acting up and I thought that I possibly had a number 3 injector issue. I ran some Rev-X in it, which definitely helped to clean it up for a bit, but not completely. Over the past several months I have had to keep my truck plugged in, even on days with fairly decent temperatures outside. After I installed the new BPD FICM, my truck cranked right over, even after sitting all night unplugged in the cold here in Colorado. The truck sounds smoother and stronger than before! Over the past couple days, I have left the truck unplugged and it still cranks over right away. I haven't seen the voltage drop below 47V and my truck is running stronger than ever and has great response compared to my old unit. I am VERY impressed!!!! I am still in the early stages of testing this unit out and will be keeping a close eye on a few things. I will report my findings and opinions as the time comes. I encourage all questions regarding the new FICM and will give my honest thoughts on the subject. If I can not answer some questions, I know that there will be others that can. Disclaimer: I am not a BPD employee, all opinions posted are my own, I am simply testing the new FICM for them and giving my feedback. For more technical info... Ive also got one of these units on my truck. I have to say this is one fine piece of hardware. Like Jeffs my truck now cold starts and runs flawlessly. It also never drops below 47.5 volts.
Ive got about 550-600 miles on the unit so far and have to say its one of the best additions to my truck Ive done. After the test period is over Im probably going to have PHP's Atlas 40 FICM tune added and will report results with that as well. |

Looks awesomebuts one thing bothers me. You said you never see it below 47V I have a stokl never been replace ficm and I never see below 47.5 at it's absolute worst. I would have expected theirs to be the 58V
What price is everyone paying? |

The units Jeff, Christine and I have are strictly 48v units.
There is supposed to be a 48/53/58 volt selectable unit coming up IIRC. Shawn I think has a 53v unit. |

Absolutely correct, Dave. I'm running a 53V test unit on my truck.

Nice. I would love to get my mitts on the 58V.

They will all come as 48V units with the capability to run 48V, 53V or 58V and you can choose which voltage you want to run.
