Engine Light ?????
I just finished an EGR delete, and Oil cooler replacement. Went well, started and running fine. The hose on the drivers side of the after cooler blew off because I forgot to tighten it. The next evening I took it out for a short ride and the engine light came on. I stopped checked it over and found nothing. I have a Superchip programer , so I changed the program back to economy and it went off. Took it out again the next day and after 30 or 40 miles the light came back on??? I left the EGR valve plugged up but out of the hole. Mounted it on one of the alt bolts. Any ideas guys?
THANKS HOOVY

Isn't there something that also senses the flow of the EGR? A tuner can take care of those.

Probably ????
The other night was the first time I had it plugged up. I didn't see an option for that but didn't really know where to look. All new to me, this is my first 6.0. Just found the DTC's option in the book.
I am not too far up the road from you Six Oh. I am in Hot Springs VA, north of Roanoke about 60 miles N on 220. THANKS HOOVY |

That's not that far at all. I just go here for school. I'll be graduating here in another month and a half which means I can finally get out of this town
![]() Did you pull the code? That would be the best thing to do. |

You have a 2006, most likely the CEL is on because of the EGR delete. Check codes to confirm EGR codes.
You'll need a tuner that allows you to turn off the CEL for EGR delete, like a SCT. |
