It depends on what kind of driving and where. I spend time in two vastly different terrains. When I'm in east Texas in the flat land, I get 20 or so running 75 MPH with the cruise on running the economy setting on my Xcal2 from DJ's. Stock, it gets about 18 under the same conditions. When I'm in Kentucky with all the hills, it gets mid 17s tuned on the road. I never tried it stock. I seem to get around 12-14 mixed city and highway on a tank, but I do service type work, so there is a lot of in town driving and idling, and I don't exactly drive conservatively.

If I keep it at 2000 rpm or less I get 18-19.5 mpg depending on headwinds and such. I can go 80 and get 15-16 no problem. Just added a tuner so I figure if I baby it I might see 20-21!

I'm pretty sure as a general rule, the 6.0's get better mileage than their 7.3 cousins... right?

it varies, every engine is different, and every driver is different. i have heard that the 7.3 is way better in the mileage department, and i have also heard that the 6.0 is better. its all up to what you want, the 7.3 or the 6.0. i am happy with my 6.0, i have 37" tires and it still gets really good mileage, what it is i dont know, i have never calculated.

most of the 7.3's i've driven have gotten way better mileage than my 6.0, but that's not enough of a reason for me to even think about a buying a 7.3..

the 6.0 is a million times better for my needs, which are mostly just to have a fast facking truck !! i've never had a OBS beat me yet

12.5 in town and 17-19 on the highway. I run the Ford fuel additive. The best thing I have found for mileage so far is the higher sulfer fuel. I cant get it where I live but when I run it I get another 2-3 mpg. I was looking for more mileage with a diesel but it is still better than my v10
