Best and cheapest place to buy good brake pads and rotors?
I'm planning on replacing my front brake pads and rotors, and was wondering a good place to get them fairly quickly and inexpensive. I would like to pick them up locally instead of waiting to have them shipped to me. I know autozone sells duralast. any good? Advanced auto also has a few different brands with some good coupon codes for additional discounts. If I go with them, I can get wearever front rotors and wagner thermoquiet brake pads for about $245.00. Are these any good. I'm just not sure since there are so many options.
I don't do any heavy towing, so I don't need anything fancy. Any thoughts? Thanks |

I ended up doing the rotors and "blue" pads from the stealership. I got a price quote from Tousley and asked my local to match the price. They almost didn't because they said they were at almost their cost, but they wanted the business. I've been happy with them so far.

It had been recommended to me also by several friends and members to stay with OEM type brake components. I recently replaced mine front/rear pads (rotors were decent) with the blue pads. Had a hookup somewhat, but both sets came to $140 or so.

I got my powerslot rotors and hawk pads from a company that used to sponsor this site but that site has since shut down. I believe the rotors were cyro or cryo whatever it's called but my truck stops on a dime no shudder I slam on them often. This wasn't the place I got them but check dieselperformanceparts.com just click on type of upgrade and then braking. They have powerslot rotors and hawk pads listed.
