A/c turns off, when 4x4 activated!!!!

Any ideas? It comes back on as soon as I turn switch back to 2 wheel drive.

Vacuum leak.
You sure the AC actually goes off or just changes from vent to defrost.

The hubs are vacuum operated, it's common for the vacuum operated hub seals to fail. Since the OP posted that it only has a A/C issue when in 4wd, that is a good inducation of the hub seals are bad.

I engaged 4x4 earlier. The front hubs don't engage unless done manually by turning to manual. Sounds like a vacuum problem.just need to see if fix/repair is cost effective!!

Yea myAC doesnt turn off but although I hear the transfer case engage my hubs do not unless I put them on manual.

Mine auto hubs haven't worked in 2 years, I'm waiting to fix them when/if I need to replace the ball joints or hub assembly.
