Reverse flush results

I will start off by saying 3 months ago I did a regular flush and fill with restor and restore +. That was all before I knew what my deltas were becouse I didnt have my CTS then. After getting that in I was seeing a spread of 192 (after a new tstat) on my ECT and 227 on my EOT....yea thats right 227*. I was like crap becouse I had already replaced my EGR cooler. I wasnt looking forward to getting back in there. I decided to try a reverse flush using boiling water and the rest of my restore and restore +. I used a funnel and a 1 gallon distilled water jug and mixed in the restore with the bioling water. Then did that with the restore +. I didn't do it for long. I let it sit for about 15 minutes ech and then reversed flushed with a garded hose setup. The revered flushed with disstilled water and after doing that for a bit tested the PH and refilled with CAT ELC. Now my temps are ECT 190-192 (about the same) but my EOT is 206*. Now how that is still a 15* spread I am fairly confident doing a longer reverse flush will solve the issue. I didnt take pictures but I can tell you what I was catching in a bucket was pretty nasty. I plan another flush in a month and will post the results again. I consider this a sucsess even though the deltas are still not where I would want them to be.

I tried the reverse flush in much the same mannor as you when I had a 17 degree delta and it lowered it only to a 15 degree delta. I did not want to chance it so I put in a new oil cooler and Bullet proof EGR cooler. Refilled with ELC and now my delta's never more than 3. I wish you luck and hope it works better for you. I am not sure I would be able to wait another month to try to flush again. Knowing my delta's were greater than 15 I would prob be flushing again tomorrow :-)
